This is a very special shawl. It is made with pashmina bought by us directly from a cooperative of nomads in Ladakh. To maintain the character and purity of pashmina, it has not been exposed to any chemicals and has been hand-spun by women in Rajpur on a charkha (spinning wheel).

The shawl is very soft and warm, and heavier than usual pashmina shawls made with mill yarn.

There may be small variations in size as it is made on a handloom. There may also be some inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing, which add to the character of the shawl. The length is about 87 inches (221 cms) and the width is 36 inches (91 cms).
